Hi Folks:
In case any of you are wondering about my post # 134 of Oct 28/09, rest assured that it is pure fantasy. Ever since I was a teenager, cowboys have been my heroes. fargo

Well, fargo; you came in late to my blogette and I return the compliment admitting that I should have called in more to see your efforts, particularly knowing you are a camera man. Working back from p10, slowly.'cos I am unable to scroll too much, or too fast for health reasons.
I am very impressed.

Hi Frank:
Thanks for your comments. It is great to have this opportunity to share my pictures which go back about 45 years.
My Kodachrome slides have weathered pretty well, but there is a fungus on some of the others which shows up as little black spots, and makes them unsuitable for showing. So I shall keep them for sentimental reasons, to view from time to time, and renew memories of bygone years. fargo

Hi Folks:
A week ago I was to the marsh and saw 5 tundra swans off in the distance. It seems as though this is a stop-off point for them to feed and rest before they continue their journey south.
It was a bit cloudy and my pictures did not turn out well. I wonder if they will still be there if if I go back on a sunny day? fargo

Hi oceanna:
The above picture was taken with my 200 zoom lense, but the birds were too far away to show up well. The horizon is also crooked, and I am sure that some day I can do better. fargo

Nice Fargo - is it digital, if so and you shot in a high resolution you could zoom in to the swans ...

Hi FG:
Still have 3 rolls of film to use up before I make a move to some digital equipment. Thanks for your suggestion about getting a better view of the swans.
I see on the market there is a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS digital camera that has a 20x zoom, which looks very tempting for work like this.
I have been following the release of new digital models, and what irks me is that within a year or less of the introduction of a new model, the manufacturer brings out a new model with improvements, some requested or suggested by the users. fargo

Hi Fargo, Even though the swans are not close it is still a very nice picture. Thanks for posting it.

Hi FG:
Hope that yours was an enjoyable trip and that you are settled in comfortably at your new location. As we come up on the Christmas Season, I hope that all of your family will be together for the holiday.
I am the same way with taking pictures, sometimes other things take precedence. Lucky I have quite a collection of past pictures to fall back on. fargo
